Clooney was raised as a strict Roman Catholic, but in 1998 he said he didn’t know if he believed “in Heaven or even God.” He has said, “Yes, we were big-time Catholics, as a family and as a group.” He went to the Blessed Sacrament School in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, for his first schooling.
He went to St. Michael’s School in Worthington, Ohio, and then to the Western public Row Elementary School in Mason, Ohio, from 1968 to 1974. He was an altar boy at St. Susanna School in Mason. When George was in the middle of the seventh grade, his family moved back to Kentucky.

It goes away after about nine months. It was the first year of high school, which was not a good time to be unable to move half of your face.”
He also talked about one good thing that came out of the situation: “It probably turned out to be a good thing that happened to me because it made me make fun of myself repeatedly. I think that’s a big part of being well-known. You have to be the target of the practical jokes.”
