The Boys Season 4: When Is It Coming Out? What Will Happen In Season 4?

The Boys Season 4: The Amazon Prime TV show is based on the same-named Garth Ennis comic book. Showrunner Eric Kripke, who also made the popular horror show Supernatural, quotes Ennis as saying that the show is “what would happen if you combined the worst of politics and the worst of celebrity.”

In fact, over the last three seasons of The Boys, themes like Neo-Nazism, #MeToo, and Black Lives Matter. The alt-right has all been looked at through the eyes of The Seven, a corrupt group of self-centered “Supes” led by the increasingly unhinged Homelander (Anthony Starr) and the soulless PR Machine that is Vought International.

But as Homelander loses control over The Seven, he also loses control of his mind. It’s up to The Boys, a group of anti-Supe vigilantes led by Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), to end his reign of terror, which they do with a lot of blood, guts, and genitals. Season 3 didn’t answer many of our questions, so here’s what we know about a possible release date for The Boys season 4.

The Boys Season 4: When Is It Coming Out?

We don’t know when The Boys season 4 will come out as of December 2023. Amazon officially picked up The Boys for a fourth season in June 2022, a week after the season 3 premiere. Karl Urban, who plays Butcher, later posted a photo with co-star Jack Quaid in August, which proved that filming for season 4 had started.

We don’t know when The Boys season 4 will come out, but we can guess based on how long season 3 took. We know that season 3 of The Boys was shot in Canada between February 2021 and August 2021, six months. The following season didn’t come out until early June 2022, ten months after production ended in August 2021.

Since filming for season 4 began in August, we can guess that the new season will come out sixteen months after that. The show should come out around December 2023 since nothing says “holiday” like Supe-guts.

The Boys Season 4 Plot: What Will Happen In Season 4?

The end of season 3 of The Boys sets up two main bad guys for season 4. The first is Victoria Neuman, the secret head-popping Supe who let Homelander take over after blowing up the heads of half of Congress and betraying Vought CEO and adoptive father, Stan Edgar.

She has already threatened Annie, knowing that Hughie knows about her powers. Now that she is Vice President of the United States, she could do much damage. Butcher says at the end of the last episode that it sounds like The Boys have her in their sights, which is good news.

Even though The Boys were split up for most of the season, MM, Butcher, Hughie, Frenchie, and Kimiko all seem to be back together by the end of season 3. Annie joins them as their newest member after giving up her roles as Starlight and co-captain of The Seven.

Homelander is the other Big Bad setup for season 4. Now even crazier than before, he has his son Ryan on his side as he continues to rise in the US alt-right (explicit parodies of Trump-supporting Republicans).

After he kills a protester before them, they all cheer, suggesting that he will become even more unpredictable and murderous in season 4. With Ryan grinning by his side, could Ryan be about to follow in his father’s footsteps?

According to the showrunner Eric Kripke, the battle for Ryan’s soul will be a big part of season 4. “So many series finales are like pilots for the next season,” Kripke told EW. “We wanted to set up this fight for Ryan’s soul.”

“I don’t think it’s the end of the game yet. I believe Ryan saw this one thing, and we should all be afraid because if he becomes another Homelander, that’s bad for the world.

But he is still Becca’s child, and there is still a chance that Butcher can bring him into the light. As for the other members of The Seven, Queen Maeve is alive and hiding, but it’s unclear if she’ll stay that way.

Also, how will The Deep and A-Train deal with the increasingly crazy Homelander and their losses in season 3, when The Deep’s wife dies, and A-brother Train disowns him? But the biggest question is how long Butcher will live to see it all since his continued use of temporary Compound V has made him very sick and likely to die soon.

He doesn’t have much time left, but will he die after finally killing Homelander, like in the comics, or will he find a way to cheat death again? In an interview with Deadline, Kripke also talked about how spin-off series like Diabolical and Varsity bridge the gap between seasons 3 and 4 and how they may affect what happens in the fourth season.

He said, “We’re doing our best to create a universe where some of the problems and storylines from Season 3 carry over to the first season of Varsity.” “Like, there’s a presidential campaign in the background of that season, and things are going on at that school that is both reactions to Season 3 of The Boys.

The Boys Season 4: Who Is In It?

As with every season of The Boys, many people died in season 3. All of Soldier Boy’s old team, Payback, died, Stormfront (Aya Cash) killed herself, A-Train killed Blue Hawk (Nick Wechsler), and Homelander killed both Supersonic (Gaston Villanueva) and Noir (Nathan Mitchell). Don’t worry about the killings at Herogasm.

Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) made it through the season, but he was put back on the ice because he was too dangerous to let loose. Whether or not he stays that way is unknown. Maeve is in the same situation (Dominique McElligott).

She may have quit the show because she was hiding, but will she stay that way? Aside from that, it’s likely that all the main characters will be back. When will Season 4 of The Boys come out? Anthony Starr in The Boys as Homelander
