Trevor 18-year-old Joseph Burrows of North Liberty, Iowa, perished in an automobile accident on April 8, 2023. Trevor Burrows, the son of Jeffrey and Jill (Stumpf) Burrows, was born on March 4, 2005, in Iowa City. Senior at Liberty High School, he was. He liked playing football and shooting traps. H
e had intended to move into his first apartment after graduating from Liberty High School, go to Kirkwood Community College, then the University of Iowa.
As a kid, Trevor was constantly occupied, a diligent worker, and an outdoor enthusiast. He was currently employed by Scheels and looked forward to spending the summer working at Stumpf Construction with his family.
The atmosphere was made happier by Trevor’s infectious smile and sense of humor. He was always the life of the party and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.
He recently went snowmobiling in Wyoming with his father, Uncle Chad, and cousin Tate. On a senior spring break vacation to Cancun, he was also able to spend valuable time with his personal family and close friends.
Trevor was a sincere and dependable buddy. Everyone wanted to be around him because he was a friend they could confide in and trust. We hiked, listened to music, played pool and ping pong, and hung out by the bonfire for several hours.

He enjoyed various activities at the Goose Bottom cabin, including boating, fishing, hunting, four-wheeling, and spending time with his family. He also supported the Hawkeyes and KC Chiefs.
He was Jeff and Jill’s most devoted son and Kyla’s watchful older brother. He regularly boasted that he was the favored child, and they all grinned and believed him.
Trevor’s family includes his parents, Jeff and Jill Burrows; sister, Kyla; maternal grandparents, Terry and Mary Jane Stumpf; paternal grandmother, Karen Gilson; numerous aunts and uncles, Ann and Kevin Dycus, Bradley Burrows, Kelly and Andy Bourquin, Chad and April Stumpf, Jody, and Eric Fisher; and cousins Zac, Jake, Graciela, Nolan, Louis, Tate, Quinn, Madilyn, Riley, Clara, and Griffin.
Don Burrows and Gary Gilson, his two grandfathers, died before him. His family is grateful that he saved many people’s lives by being an organ and tissue donor.
Friday, April 14, 2023, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Coralville, there will be funeral services at 11 a.m., followed by a fellowship period in the church’s hall. The Ridgewood Cemetery in North Liberty, which looks out onto the family house, will be the site of a private family burial.
