Tragic Sh00ting on Hollywood Broadwalk Leaves 9 Injured, Including Minors!

A sh00ting at the Hollywood Broadwalk on Monday afternoon left nine injured, including four minors.

A spokesperson for the City of Hollywood nine people had been shot. Four of them were children, with ages ranging from 1 to 17. The ad*lts’ ages range from 25 to 65. The others were in stable condition while one was undergoing surgery.

It occurred near the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort or the 1200 block of North Broadwalk.

A local live camera captured images of people frantically fleeing the scene at 6:41 p.m.

Officials from Hollywood claim that it began with a dispute between two groups and escalated to the point where shots were fired.

Police have detained one person of interest and are currently looking for a second person.

Many victims were taken to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and Memorial Regional Hospital.

Witnesses reported seeing one infant with a leg wound from a gunshot.

CBS News reporter Chelsea Jones questioned bystanders in the area during the sh00ting.

“I saw a young man that was on the ground bleeding and they were applying pressure to prevent the bleeding. Also, saw a lady that was very upset. I think she had a wound to her leg,” said Vance Hendricks, visiting from Philadelphia.”

“Heard several gunshots, seen a crowd of people running through here and then we heard three more shots down the street,” said David Van Dyck.

Josh Levy, mayor of Hollywood, released the following statement:

“Thank you to the good Samaritans, paramedics, police and emergency room doctors and nurses for their immediate response to aid the victims of today’s shooting.”

Images from Chopper 4 showed many police cruisers, unmarked police cars, at least one crime scene van, and many fire-rescue trucks in the vicinity.

Authorities had shut down at least one road and learned that a sizable perimeter had been set up.

While the investigation is ongoing, Hollywood police advise residents to stay away from the Hollywood Beach area between Johnson and Garfield Street and the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk.

At Johnson Street and the N. Ocean bus loop, the police set up a reunification area.
