The Hesperia mother and her two children were ki!!ed when a car driven by a man with a history of drunk driving was involved in a collision.
San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office, on May 11, Jose Vargas, 41, was driving drunk and collided with the car of Lissette Villaseor, who was going with her 6-year-old son and 12-year-old daughter.
The family was ki!!ed in a head-on collision with what authorities believe was Vargas driving on the wrong side of the road.
“That day, she took her three kids to school, picked them up, drove to soccer practice, dropped him off there, and was on her way to her daughter’s final cheer day for the season,” said Krystal Giron, Villaseor’s sister-in-law.
According to NBC4, Vargas has a lengthy criminal record, including multiple DUI convictions in several California counties. He has been charged with various crimes, including m*rder, and is currently on probation.

The Villaseor family believes that drunk driving laws should be strengthened.
“DUI driving per state law is considered a nonviolent felony. I differ. It’s more than violent; it’s your life,” Giron stated.
Giron claimed her niece, who was in the front passenger seat, saw her mother take her last breath as the car crashed.

“They’re going to need therapists because she saw everything, unfortunately,” said Villaseor’s brother, Jesse Giron.
He said his sibling was “all about her family” and focused solely on her offspring.
“Till the very last day, she often said with pride, ‘All I ever wanted in life was to be a wife and to be a mom,’” Krystal Giron recalled.
