The New York Police Department has confirmed that on Sunday night, an audience member at Bebe Rexha’s concert in New York City threw a phone at her face, sending the singer to the hospital.
Nicolas Malvagna, 27, “intentionally” hurled a cell phone at the singer when she was performing at Pier 17. At the scene, police arrested Malvagna. Afterward, he was arrested on assault charges.
On Monday, Rexha shared two photos to Instagram of a black eye and a cut above her eyebrow.
She just wrote, “Im good,” as the caption for the photo.

Concertgoers saw the moment Rexha was struck on camera. Rexha fell to her knees and covered her face with her hand before being led off the stage. Rexha’s name was chanted as she left by adoring fans.
“Absolutely great show ruined by a fan throwing their phone at @BebeRexha hopefully she is ok after that,” one attendee tweeted.
The show on Sunday was a stop on what Rexha is calling her “Best F’n Night of My Life Tour.” On Tuesday, she’ll play a show in Philadelphia.
