Priscilla Presley’s Son Navarone Garcia Speaks Out!

Navarone Garibaldi Garcia, Priscilla’s second child, has been forgotten amid the current drama and grief surrounding the Presley family following Lisa Marie’s passing at age 54 last month. However, he is finally coming up.

Garcia, 35, a member of the band Them Guns, is Lisa Marie’s half-brother. After divorcing Elvis in 1973, Priscilla, now 77, had Garcia in 1987 with producer Marco Garibaldi. Garcia disclosed that he battled heroin addiction as Lisa Marie and Elvis did.

He developed a heroin and fentanyl addiction when he was a teenager, claims People. He told the site, “I was under the impression I was doing heroin, but then it’d turn out to be fentanyl,” “That was a whole different beast. I became so addicted that I’d need it every 45 minutes.”

He became sober in 2020, partly so he could travel to Sweden to see his now-wife, Elisa, who is Swedish. Similarly, Lisa Marie, who passed away on January 12 at 54 from a cardiac arrest, battled addiction. She was allegedly again using painkillers when she passed away, according to TMZ.

Garcia remarked of her passing, “It’s still so surreal,” Although they weren’t close, he claimed to be good friends with Lisa Marie’s eldest daughter, Riley Keough, and attended her memorial ceremony at Graceland.

Garcia uploaded pictures of the two of them on Instagram the day after his sister passed away, along with a touching obituary.

“Big sister … i hope you are now at peace and happy with your Dad and your son by your side. I know the past couple years weren’t easy for you, and I wish things had been different between us,” he wrote. “Regardless, you are my sister and I’m sending love and prayers for your journey home. I still can’t believe this, I’m lost for words. Love you sis. Beijos.”

Although they are never married, Priscilla Presley was with Garcia’s father for approximately 20 years, from the 1980s to 2006. Garcia admitted that his mother didn’t listen to Elvis during his formative years.

“I think my dad had a bit of a complex about it,” Garcia said. “It wasn’t until he left that my mom started playing his music again freely.” It is a “misconception” that he was raised “extravagantly, with Elvis’ estate and money” because he wasn’t as prominently featured as his sister and wasn’t, Garcia claimed.

He claimed that he and his father had not spoken to one other since 2017. Additionally, Navarone asserted that his father changed his last name from Garcia to Garibaldi after being advised that a Hispanic last name would not help him succeed in Hollywood.

Garcia claimed that despite not having a blood connection to the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, the Presley family’s notoriety affected him. More often than anybody else, he added, “I got in trouble more than everybody else because kids’ parents would find out who my mom was, and they’d want a reason to talk to her,” “I wasn’t very comfortable with it.”
