Authorities were looking for the person who shot an adult at a middle school in a suburb of Las Vegas on Monday afternoon.
During an afternoon news briefing, law enforcement officials stated that they had not yet identified a suspect but still regarded the incident as singular and that there was no longer a threat to the school.
During the briefing outside Ed Von Tobel Middle School, Capt. Noel Roberts of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department stated, “This was not an active shooter.”
Just before 12:40 p.m., gunfire occurred, but no pupils were hurt.
After one individual was shot on campus but outside the school building, the principal wrote a letter to parents saying that all pupils were safe in their classrooms.
