Wednesday morning, an SUV traveling in the other direction drove into the lane of an Iowa woman from the south, killing her instantly.
According to a crash report from the Iowa State Patrol, the collision occurred on Highway 69, north of 150th Street, at around 8:39 in the morning. About six kilometers separate from Leon.
When a southbound SUV crossed the center line and struck Brianna Pierson’s, 31, northbound car, it came out of a bend to the left. Her vehicle veered off the road and into a ditch.

Due to her accident-related injuries, Pierson passed away.
Shane Auxier, a 49-year-old Davis City resident operating the SUV, was not listed as having any damages in the report.
The Iowa State Patrol is still looking into the accident.
