Jessica Simpson’s Relationship: Jessica Simpson’s “teenage fantasy” came true when she started hooking up with a “massive movie star,” only to find out he was already taken.
In “Movie Star: They Always Say They’re Single,” a “short and true story” that came out Wednesday, the singer talked about her “sexy” but “demeaning” relationship with an actor who was not named.
The 42-year-old former “Dukes of Hazzard” star was taking a break from Nick Lachey at the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards when the “hot” mystery A-lister “eyed [her] up and down.”
Simpson told readers, “He was undressing me with his eyes,” Even though she got the man’s number, the “Blonde Ambition” star ended up getting back together with Lachey, 49, and did not call.
But in 2006, the “Newlyweds” stars got a divorce, and Simpson later kissed an unnamed movie star at the Beverly Hills Hotel. She said the kiss made her feel a “warm rush all the way down my body.”
At the time, the unknown man told Simpson that his relationship with his girlfriend was “completely over.” He later hung out with Simpson in nightclubs, at a mutual friend’s house, and even on a movie set.

Eventually, the fashion designer began to feel “like a call girl” who was only there “to have sex” with the celebrity. She remembered meeting him at a hotel through a private entrance and walking up fire stairs to get to his room, which she later realized was to “hide me from his chick.”

Simpson ended things by writing, “I didn’t care if he was my teenage fantasy come to life; this was not a choice that same girl, my younger self, would be proud of.” Simpson’s “Open Book” memoir, which came out in February 2020 and is now being turned into a TV show, didn’t mention the affair.
