Gran Turismo Movie Sneak Peek Provides First Footage: People have been trying to make a Gran Turismo movie for several years. Fans will soon be able to see a movie version of the video game franchise, though. Even more so now that Neill Blomkamp, who directed District 9, is in charge of the movie.
Blomkamp didn’t have to wait long to start doing the project. Because of this, Sony has shown the first sneak peek of the movie. As you can see below, it seems to be based on a true story about a teen who plays video games and wants to use the skills they’ve learned to become a racecar driver in real life. As you can see in the video below, it’s an exciting idea.

Seeing the project finally get off the ground after years of development hell is exciting. The movie will be in theatres this summer, so we’ll probably get more looks at the project before then. In the meantime, Sony is making TV shows and movies based on video games.
These include HBO’s The Last of Us, Peacock’s Twisted Metal, and even a movie version of Ghost of Tsushima. We hope to have more information about all of these upcoming projects soon.
