How Did Giada Lanzieri’s Accident Happen?
Giada Rose Lanzieri, 14, suffered injuries at a Halloween hayride event at Seven Cedars Farm in Smithfield, Rhode Island. While acting as a fright actress, she became tangled under a trailer and got locked in the back wheels, which resulted in catastrophic injuries.
There were about twenty and thirty people on the outing at the time. Giada was in urgent need of hospitalization due to her serious condition. Following the event, the farm declared it would be ending the haunted hayride season, with a refund for any tickets not used. The farm at Cedars posted:
“We regret to inform you that we will be closed for the remainder of our haunted hayride season due to an accident that occurred to one of our actors last night. All tickets purchased online for tonight 10/29 will automatically be refunded.”
“We are absolutely devastated by this incident and we want to send our thoughts and prayers to the actor and her family involved. We are completely heartbroken over this and we hope she has a speedy recovery! We want to thank the town of Smithfield Fire and Police departments for their quick response and providing the necessary care for her.”
