After more than four hours of deliberation, a jury in Illinois found a husband guilty of all charges stemming from the sh00ting deαth of his estranged wife.
About Rebecca Bliefnick’s m*rder, Timothy Bliefnick, 40, was found guilty on Wednesday of two counts of first-degree m*rder and one count of a home invasion.
Rebecca Bliefnick’s sister, Sarah Reilly, said, “We should not be living in a world where a crime like this is possible.” “My parents were robbed of their daughter, and as a parent myself I cannot imagine a greater torture.”
After the verdict, he was handcuffed and taken away without a fight.
On August 11, a sentencing hearing will take place. Josh Jones, an assistant state’s attorney for Adams County, predicted that the prosecution would seek a life sentence.
“This is not a happy day because let’s not forget, those three boys have lost their mother and their father,” Jones admitted.
A family member discovered Rebecca Bliefnick’s body inside her house on February 23 after she neglected to pick up her kids from school. She had received several gunshot wounds.

Twelve days after his Quincy home was searched, Timothy Bliefnick was taken into custody on March 13.
Bliefnick had previously taken part in a 2020 episode of the game show “Family Feud” as a contestant.
He and the other players in the game had to predict the top responses to a poll asking, “What was the biggest mistake you made at your wedding?”
In response, Bliefnick said, “saying, ‘I do.'”
