After reportedly assaulting Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen outside of a Fort Lauderdale, Florida hotel on Monday, a 19-year-old Avon man is now being charged.
The incident took place outside the Four Seasons Hotel’s valet area, according to a complaint from the Fort Lauderdale Police Department. Max Hartley was observing Allen from behind a pole as he smoked.
The one-armed Allen was then reportedly thrown backward by Hartley, who got a running start, leading him to strike his head on the ground.
Authorities allege that while a lady attempted to help Allen, Hartley slammed her to the ground and began beating the woman.
Hartley grabbed the woman by the hair and hauled her back outside to the hotel lobby when she tried to flee inside.
