Daredevil Son of Evel Knievel, Robbie Knievel Dies at 60!
Robbie Knievel, the son of the famous stuntman Evel Knievel, has died at age 60, his brother Kelly Knievel told CBS News on Friday. Robbie Knievel was killed after three days in hospice care. He had been sick with pancreatic cancer.
“Everyone knew it would happen,” his brother told CBS News. “His three daughters were with him in Reno.” Robbie Knievel, known as “Kaptain Robbie Knievel,” was also a daredevil. His official website has a biography about his 350 jumps and 20 world records. His brother said that Knievel had been married once and then got a divorce.
Knievel wanted to be a daredevil since he was young, even though it was hard for him personally and professionally to follow in his father’s footsteps. Evel, their father, was proud of his son’s achievements and tried to watch all of his jumps, including Knievel’s successful one over the fountains at the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas in 1989.
In 1967, when his father tried to make the same jump, he crashed his Harley-Davidson and hurt himself so severely that he almost died. His brother told him, “Daredevils don’t have easy lives.” “But they always do that.” Kelly Knievel said that his brother’s best trait should be remembered.

He said, “He was a great daredevil.” “If you look at how he jumps, that should be what he is known for. It was his favorite thing to do.” Evel Knievel died in 2007 at the age of 69. He had been sick with diabetes and pulmonary fibrosis for many years.
Robbie Knievel’s three daughters, five grandchildren, older brother Kelly, two sisters, and his mother, Linda, are the only people who will remember him after he’s gone.
