Kevin Lemons Dies: Kevin Lemons, an Atlanta gospel singer, died at 44, his family said Saturday. They called it a “sudden loss.” The family wrote on Instagram, “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our founder, Kevin Lemons.”
They also asked everyone to think and pray for his wife, Tianna, his family, and his ministry, Higher Calling. They also said they were “appreciative and grateful for each of you” for showing love and support during a hard time.
According to his website, Lemons was born and raised in Atlanta and started his music ministry in 1996. After getting together with some friends in a small church, he started his now-famous community ministry, Higher Calling.
The ministry, whose real name is Kevin Lemons & Higher Calling, became popular immediately because of its impression on the people of Atlanta with its unique sound and look, according to its website. According to his website, the group’s album “The Declaration” got as high as No. 10 on Billboard’s gospel charts.

The website says that Lemons, his wife, and the ministry were trying to get choir music back into the mainstream. His record label, HezHouse Entertainment, said that details about his memorial would be made public soon.
