A father is Alexander Skarsgrd! The 46-year-old actor welcomed his first kid with girlfriend Tuva Novotny, 43, on Monday, according to Entertainment Tonight, who he spoke with while at the season four premiere of “Succession” in New York City.
“Thank you very much,” Skarsgård told ET’s Rachel Smith after she congratulated him on his baby. “I got this on the red carpet,” the actor told the host, showing off a stuffed animal he was gifted on the red carpet.
Reps for Skarsgård did not immediately respond to POPSUGAR’s request for comment, and representatives for Novotny could not be reached.
Little details about Skarsgrd and Novotny’s relationship are known, even though Novotny previously displayed her pregnancy belly at the Swedish Elle Awards in April 2022. Skarsgrd’s infant sister Ella, who Novotny shares with her ex-husband Nicolai Bjerrum Lersbryggen, is now 16.

Over the years, Skarsgard has been connected to Alexa Chung and Amanda Seyfried. The actor said to People in 2009, when asked what qualities he values in a partner, “A sense of humor is number one for sure. Being funny and smart is very important.”
At the “Succession” premiere, Skarsgrd wasn’t the only person with happy baby news. When Sarah Snook, 35, flaunted her expanding belly on the red carpet, a la Blake Lively, she announced that she is expecting her first child with husband David Lawson. It’s exciting, Snook said to ET. She said, “I feel great,” she continued, adding that she’s currenltly “at 32 weeks,” so she has “like two months” until her baby is born.
