Mike Pompeo Weight Loss: Mike Pompeo, who used to be Secretary of State in the Trump administration, has lost a massive 90 pounds in just six months by making significant changes to his life. In an interview with the New York Post, the former head of the CIA said that losing weight has been “a lifetime struggle.”
He said that the turning point was when, on June 14, 2021, he stepped on a scale for the first time in his life and saw that he weighed nearly 300 pounds. Pompeo, 58 years old, said to his wife, Susan, “Today is the day.”
Pompeo said that after that, he started working out “almost every day” and eating well, and “the weight just started to come off.” He told the Post that instead of hiring a personal trainer or a dietician to help him lose weight, he built a home gym in his basement with an elliptical machine and some dumbbells.
“I tried to go down there five or six times a week and stay for about 30 minutes. And that had nothing to do with science. There was neither a trainer nor a dietician. I was the only one, “Pompeo said. Pompeo said he slowly gained weight while in the office because he often ate fast food on long days of work and travel.
“Ask anyone on my team, and they’ll tell you I ordered a cheeseburger from room service. I went back to my room and ate my cheeseburger while I worked. That was how I lived, “Before he decided to lose weight, Pompeo said, he did the same things every day. “When you work and eat, all you do is keep working and eating.”
He said that when he goes out to eat with his family, he now chooses foods that are better for him. Pompeo told the Post, “Now we get egg whites and turkey bacon.” “Our family gets together over food. We are Italian and like to get together for pasta, bread, cheese, and dessert.
We’ll still have these big dinners with family and friends, but I’ll be the one who says, “Yeah, I’ll have a salad.” “he said. “It was a good cycle instead of the bad one I was in, and I’ve lost about 90 pounds in six months.”
Pompeo said that discipline and having the right attitude are essential. “But the truth is that I’ve had trouble losing weight my whole life,” he said, adding that he gained almost 100 pounds in nearly 11 years. Pompeo said, “For me, it’s about getting it right and having the right amount of discipline.”
“No one wants to admit they’ve put on weight or are overweight, even when all the signs point in that direction,” Pompeo said that when his weight loss became clear, many people on social media thought he was sick or had cancer.
“No one has ever really called me to ask, ‘Hey, what happened?'” People on Twitter noticed how much Pompeo had changed in appearance nine months after he left the Trump administration in October 2021. From 2018 to 2021, he was the 70th secretary of state.

Pompeo said that he hopes his journey to lose weight will help other people reach their goals. “It’s hard, but it doesn’t last. There’s no guarantee that I’ll still weigh what I do now, but you can do it too if you know that good things can happen if you keep at it.”
He also said, “My clothes fit better, and I have more energy.” “I want to be there for my family and hopefully have a lot of grandchildren.” Please forward this to your friends if you find it interesting. Visit Lighthousejournal.org for the most recent celebrity news and updates.
