Meryl Streep, a veteran actress, has joined the cast of the hit Hulu show Only Murders in the Building for its upcoming third season. Selena Gomez, who stars in the show with comedy legends Steve Martin and Martin Short, told her Instagram followers about the news.
Gomez posted a video of her and her co-stars from the set of the third season. At the end of the video, Streep stands behind the three main characters. Streep and Paul Rudd are new to the show, which premiered on Hulu in August 2021 and immediately became a hit.
It will start its second season in July 2022. In Only Murders in the Building, Gomez, Martin, and Short play three strangers interested in true crime podcasts and get together to look into death in their apartment building.

For its second season, the show, which 20th Television made, was nominated for 17 Primetime Emmys and won three. Martin and John Hoffman made the show together. Along with Short, Gomez, Dan Fogelman, and Jess Rosenthal, they also run the show.
