The good news is that the doctor treating comedian Jay Leno thinks he should be acceptable even though he may not have fully recovered from his terrifying car fire event.
The much-awaited Jay update came from Dr. Peter Grossman of the Grossman Burn Center in West Hills, who stated during a press conference on Wednesday that Jay had already undergone one surgery to treat his burns but has another one planned for later this week.
He acknowledges that Jay had a variety of severe second and third-degree burns to his face, hands, and chest, but he thinks his patient is on the road to recovery.
According to TMZ, Jay suffered major burns while repairing a clogged fuel line on his 1907 White Steam Car over the weekend in his Burbank garage.
The comic informed us that he had gas spray on his hands and face from his hospital bed due to a fuel leak. The comic caught fire due to an explosion that was instantly caused by a spark.
According to Dr. Grossman, Jay is a “nice and engaging” patient. He was recently in a good mood, giving out cookies to the hospitalized children.
