Jake Hescock Dies: Earlier this month, former University of Central Florida tight end Jake Hescock died of a heart collapse while jogging. His age was given as 26. On December 6, Hescock, according to his relatives, died while out jogging in Boston. UCF Football expressed their “devastation” on Facebook and posted an homage to the former TE.

On Sunday, as news of Hescock’s death spread, UCF head coach Gus Malzahn paid tribute to him on Twitter. “He was a fantastic person, who exemplified what it means to be a UCF Knight,” he wrote. “Jake was a joy to coach and adored by all who met him.
