In Joker: Folie à Deux, Joaquin Phoenix is back in the role of Arthur Fleck, better known as the Joker.
The first image of the supervillain from the set was shared by the director Todd Phillips with the phrase “Day 1. Our boy” on Instagram. Phoenix may be seen shaving in the picture, tilting his head back.
The highly anticipated Joker sequel from 2019 will feature a musical and Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn, the Joker’s love interest.

Margot Robbie had previously played Quinn on the big screen in movies including Suicide Squad (2016), Birds of Prey (2017), and The Suicide Squad (2021). Robbie recently wished Lady Gaga well as she assumes the role of the villain in a message.
In a statement made while promoting her newest movie, Amsterdam, Robbie remarked, “It makes me so pleased because I said from the very beginning, all I want is for Harley Quinn to be one of those characters, the way like Macbeth or Batman always gets handed from great actor to a great actor.”

It’s such an honor to have created a foundation that is so solid that Harley can now be one of those characters that other actors get to try out for. Robbie continued. I believe she’ll use it to create something unique.
Catherine Keener, Brendan Gleeson, and Zazie Beetz are among the other performers cast in the DC Comics movie.
The sequel’s plot has been kept a secret, and the movie is slated for release on October 4, 2024.
