The Wheel of Time Season 2: The Wheel of Time will keep turning for a long time because Prime Video renewed the show six months before the first episode aired in November 2021. So, in short, there will be a second season of The Wheel of Time. People say that filming is well underway.
Just before the first finale aired, TVLine talked to Vernon Sanders, the head of global TV for Amazon Studios, about why the show was picked up for a second season so soon: “We like the show, and as the episodes came out and we saw how well they were made and as we talked to Rafe Judkins, the show’s creator, about where the next seasons would go, we knew we had something that could last a very long time for us.
“These are huge investments, so of course, we took a lot of time to make sure we were making the right choice, but it keeps paying off for us. All the credit goes to Rafe, his fantastic team, and the cast, which Rosamund Pike led as Moiraine.
The Wheel of Time is Prime Video’s most-watched original series of 2021, so those investments are already paying off. This is a perfect sign for season two, which will continue to be based on the books written by Robert Jordan.
In October, Judkins told the New York Comic Con, “Season one has a lot of screaming, crying, fighting, and two people talking in a room” (via EW). “We did lay those foundations. You know who these people are, and now you get to see them go on these trips.”
“Robert Jordan made epic journeys. Watching the show is a gift if you’ve read the books because you can see the path ahead of you in each character. We’re on that path in season 2. After eight episodes, it’s huge by the end of the season. I’m looking forward to people seeing it.”

The Wheel of Time Season 1 Review: What Happened In Season 1?
The first season of The Wheel of Time is getting positive feedback. Maybe people will like the second season of The Wheel of Time just as much as the first. In the most recent episode of the first season of The Wheel of Time, Thom tells Rand that he thinks Mat has the One Power because he acts suspiciously like Thom’s nephew Owyn, who was able to channel but killed himself right after Aes Sedai calmed him down.
Later that night, a Fade kills the family, but Thom distracts it long enough for Mat and Rand to escape. After that, Logain’s army of followers shows up because Logan is trying to use One Power to escape jail.
On the other side, Kerene Nagashi of the Green Ajah is killed when she tries to protect Moiraine and Liandrin from Logain’s attack at the same time that Lan’s throat is cut. After that, Nynaeve uses One Power to heal Lan and the injured Aes Sedai. This is in line with the prophecies of the Dragon Reborn.
Later, Liandrin and the Aes Sedai work to make Login more friendly. Let’s wait and see what comes next. Maybe the second season of The Wheel of Time will pick up where the first season left off. If we learn anything new about the plot of The Wheel of Time’s second season, we’ll post it here. Let’s find out when the second season of The Wheel of Time will come out.
