Why do you ask? Because Mando and Grogu will return, baby. If you didn’t hear on Thursday, Disney announced that Season 3 of The Mandalorian will start on Disney+ on March 1, 2023. Lucasfilm released a massive trailer for the third season before, and the new footage made every pleasure button on my ship’s control panel light up.
The preview gave a sneak peek at the main plot of the new season: Mando trying to make up for taking off his helmet. Redemption? For Mando? We know that the Armorer will not put up with such nonsense. But it seems like anything is possible when you have the power of the galaxy’s most robust baby on your side.
It looks like Mando will be spending more time in space than usual, giving that Naboo N-1 starfighter a good workout. Plus, we see the faces of some old friends, like Peli Motto from Amy Sedaris, Greef Karga from Carl Weathers, and Babu Frik?! If I have to tell you who Babu Frik is, you might not have a chance to change at this point.
The Mandalorian Season 3: When Will It Release On Disney+?
The official Twitter account for the show says that the third season of The Mandalorian will start on Disney+ on March 1, 2023. When Mando returns to Mandalore after appearing in the second half of The Book of Boba Fett, the show will pick up right where it left off.
Is There A The Mandalorian Season 3 Trailer?
Yes, there is. The first trailer came out at the beginning of September at Disney’s D23 Expo. It’s almost the same as the trailers shown at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim in May (but not on the Internet).
Who Is In The Mandalorian Season 3 Cast?
The cast of The Mandalorian season 3 is not set in stone. Din Djarin will be played by Pedro Pascal again, and Grogu will be by his side again. There were worries that Pascal’s other new show, The Last of Us, which is still being filmed, would get in the way of filming season 3 of The Mandalorian. However, this did not happen.
During an interview with EW, Giancarlo Esposito, who plays Moff Gideon, also said that Gideon will probably have a more significant role in the third movie: “I think you’ll be seeing a lot more of me next season. More than likely, you’ll see Moff Gideon a lot.” How very scary…
Carl Weathers is back as Greef Karga, and he confirmed at Steel City Con that he would also be directing again. Katee Sackhoff is back as Bo-Katan after The Mandalorian season 2 ended, and since Din now has the Darksaber, she likely has her sights set on it.
Ahsoka, played by Rosario Dawson, could be back, but she also has a spin-off coming up, and her status after her cameo in The Book of Boba Fett is still unknown. Christopher Lloyd from “Back to the Future” has also joined the cast in an undisclosed role.
Also, Sasha Banks, whose real name is Mercedes Varnado, has said that she won’t be back as Koska Reeves in season 3. Cara Dune, played by Gina Carano, is another character who will not be in the show.

Because of this, she won’t be in season 3 of The Mandalorian, and the Rangers of the New Republic spin-off show has reportedly been canceled.
But what about Bill Burr’s character, Migs Mayfield? The actor told Screen Rant (opens in new tab) about season 3: “I hope so. Jon Favreau and Rick Famuyiwa, who wrote both of the episodes I worked on, for the chance to be a small part of something so big, so good, and so crucial to so many people.
I can’t say anything except that I love being on that show, and I hope it keeps going, but even if it doesn’t, I’ve had a great time.” Bryce Dallas Howard is coming back to direct an episode.
She has already produced two episodes of The Mandalorian and the well-received “Return of the Mandalorian” in The Book of Boba Fett. The little furry creature Babu Frik from The Rise of Skywalker will finally appear in The Mandalorian season 3.

Next season, it looks like Din Djarin will have a new quest. The fifth episode of The Book of Boba Fett starts with Mando looking for the other Mandalorians. When he finds them, the Armorer shows him how to use the Darksaber, and Paz Vizsla fights him for it immediately.
Friends! What can you say? Mando wins the battle, but in the Season 2 finale, he tells the Armorer that he took off his mask. (You can’t blame a man for wanting a sweet moment with his alien son.)
The Armorer kicks him out of the clan and tells him that the only way he can be forgiven is to go to the mines of Mandalore, which no longer exist. Mando seems determined to do something since he went to Amy Sedaris’s Peli Motto to look for a new ship.
When Season 3 starts, Mando will want to make things right with the last of his people. He will probably do this by going on a mission to his home planet. OK. Time is up. Sorry, but Baby Yoda/Grogu is the little guy who puts the “star” in “Star Wars.”
If you thought that Mando would just let CGI Luke Skywalker ruin his son forever, you were wrong. Mando goes on a trip to see how Grogu’s training is going. He even gets a little gift forged for the kid! Wrapped in cloth with the ears of Yoda! The present turns out to be some new armor for Grog.
Luke Skywalker gives the little guy a choice at the end of Episode Six. He asks him if he wants to be a Mandalorian or a Jedi. In the last part of The Book of Boba Fett, Grogu flies back to Tatooine while wearing his new Mandalorian clothes.
After what might be the most protracted gunfight ever seen in Star Wars, the episode ends with a shot of Mando and Grogu flying through space. This probably means that in Season 3, the two of them will go on the Mandalore redemption quest, with Mando mastering the Darksaber and his ball-loving friend studying the ways of the Force without a master.
