Kelsea Ballerini said that she and her husband, fellow country singer Morgan Evans, are getting divorced. She wrote about the breakup on her Instagram Story on Monday (Aug. 29). She wrote in the all-text message, “I’ve always tried to share my life with you in a real and vulnerable way while also protecting layers of my personal life as they unfold.”
“This is now public information, so I wanted you to hear directly from me that I am getting a divorce.” Ballerini said the “tough decision” was the “end of a journey of love, growth, and hard work.”
“It’s hard to find the right words right now, but I’m very thankful for the years I’ve been married to Morgan, and I’m looking forward to the next few years. We both have busy schedules coming up, so please keep in mind that we are both fragile, working on getting better, and doing the best we can,” she said.
