Cops: 14-Year-Old Shot and Killed on NYC Street, Possibly Over Music: Police suspect that the shooting of a 14-year-old kid in the Bronx was targeted and may have been sparked by music, according to law enforcement sources.
Two young men were captured on camera approaching a Fordham Heights bodega on Morris Avenue; one was carrying a blue crossbody bag, while the other was dressed entirely in black with black and white sneakers. Before 9:30 p.m., the following view revealed them quickly running from behind parked cars. Wednesday, following numerous bullets, according to witnesses.
One of the two has what seems to be a gun in his right hand as they cross Morris Avenue.

The 14-year-old and his brother were reportedly walking on the Morris Avenue sidewalk around 182nd Street when the two suspects, thought to have been waiting in the shadows, opened fire. Almost ten rounds were fired, according to sources.
The 14-year-old youngster was shot numerous times in the chest, hip, and foot before authorities arrived, despite their best efforts to save his life. He was later declared dead. Brother was unharmed.
After closing the area off as a crime scene until around 3:30 a.m. on Thursday, detectives discovered at least eight 9-mm round casings. Throughout the day, police searched the neighborhood for any evidence.
The deceased boy’s identity has not been made public. Even though the shooter was still at large, no arrests had been made.
Law enforcement sources indicate this may have been motivated by a music dispute or a quarrel over drill rap. However, the investigation is still underway (the term “drill” often refers to retaliation or killing). Police don’t think the attack was random.
