Chelsea Handler Tells: Chelsea Handler has a funny secret: she didn’t know the sun and the moon were different until she was 40. On January 12, Handler went on “The Tonight Show” to talk about her new Netflix comedy special, “Revolution,” which came out on December 27.
During the interview, Handler told host Jimmy Fallon about the jokes she made about herself in the special, such as how she had been confused about some basic astronomy facts for a long time.
She said, “I don’t want to be a parent because I don’t think I have the skills.” “I don’t know how to answer all those questions from kids because they don’t just ask me once… I have enough nieces and nephews to know that I can’t stand being asked questions to which I don’t know the answers.”
The 47-year-old continued, “And at a certain age when you don’t know the answers to questions, it’s too embarrassing to ask, so you just have to act as you do.” Handler gave Fallon an example of one of these situations by saying that she didn’t know the sun and moon were two different things until she was 40.
In her comedy special, Handler told the story about the time seven years ago when she found out there was a difference. She said she discovered the truth while on safari with her sister, Simone Handler-Hutchinson, during a trip to Africa.

“My older sister Simone looked up at the sky and told me, “Chelsea, Chelsea, look up. It’s not often that you can see the sun and the moon simultaneously,‘” Handler remembered. “I said, ‘Wait, but they’re always together.’ As soon as I said that, she turned around. “What did you say?” she asks.
I said, “Oh, shut up, shut up.” I knew I had said something wrong.” Handler said she “tried to gloss over it” and take back what she said, but her sister wouldn’t let her forget about it.

The former “Chelsea Lately” host told Fallon, “She said, ‘No, I need you to tell me what you think is going on between the sun and the moon.'” “Honestly, I thought that when the sun went down, it came back up as the moon,” Handler said.
“I’m thinking, ‘Isn’t that what’s going on?‘” If you think this is interesting, please share it with your friends. For more updates and the latest news regarding celebrities, Visit Lighthousejournal.org.
