On May 14, 2020, a “death squad” from the Sinaloa Cartel showed up at the house of Chino, the partner of Yuriana Castillo Torres, his sister, and her husband. Chino reacted by firing an automatic assault weapon in a fierce gun duel.
As the battle continued until the morning hours, they eventually ran out of ammunition and were forced to surrender. Then the hostages were taken by armed men. The following day, law enforcement in Ion Township, Sinaloa, located a black SUV with three decomposing bodies. Some of the victims were identified as José Rodrigo Arechiga Gamboa, well known by his alias El Chino Antrax. Sadly, he was killed by gunfire.
