Solly March Career
March made his Isthmian League Premier Division debut for Lewes in 2011 at the age of 17. Brighton & Hove Albion noticed him and gave him a scholarship. March agreed to a three-year deal with Brighton in December 2011. March’s Brighton career began with promise. In 2013, he was named Young Player of the Year.
In the 2013-14 season, he made his first-team debut with Brighton. He showed a lot of promise when he scored his first senior goal in an FA Cup match in January 2014. As a result, the contract was extended until 2018.
Unfortunately, March’s 2014-15 season was marred by injuries, particularly a lower back problem that sidelined him for several months. He made a tremendous comeback, however, scoring key goals in the 2015-16 season. Unfortunately, a knee injury cut his season short.
March made a comeback in the 2016-17 season after recovering from a knee injury. He was instrumental in Brighton’s promotion to the Premier League. His solid play earned him a contract extension through 2020.
March continued to perform admirably in the Premier League, scoring crucial goals. He scored his tenth goal for Brighton in December 2018. He was instrumental in Brighton’s FA Cup run in March 2019. However, March struggled with injuries during the 2020-21 season. After a long goal drought, he finally scored in September 2020, but a knee injury ended his season early.
