Shania Twain Vows To Never Get Plastic Surgery: “I’m Not Gonna Do It”

Shania Twain, a country music pioneer, is now more confident than ever. She stood barefoot for the cover of her single, Waking Up Dreaming,” a song from her most recent album, Queen Of Me, at age 57.

Twain appeared on the Making Space with Hoda Kotb podcast on January 29 and discussed her confidence.

“That was a real leap of faith in my courage,” said Twain. “When I stand in front of the mirror, I don’t like to stand in front of the mirror… I’m just tired of that lack of freedom. I want to be more relaxed and comfortable in my own skin. It is what it is and I can’t change it unless I go under the knife or something.”

Shania Twain Admits She Doesn’t Want To Regret A Surgery

She conceded that her surgery might not be practical after making this remark about getting cut open.

“I’ve come to a point where, no I’m not gonna do it,” Twain added. “Maybe that was probably part of what pushed me to go, ‘OK, it’s time to start loving yourself in your own skin,’ because sure I’ve got lots of friends that have had very successful surgeries, but I’ve also seen others that aren’t so successful.”

“What if I’m one of those that doesn’t heal very well? Then, I’m gonna hate that about myself. Then I’m gonna regret doing it,” she continued.

It is not about having “one thing pulled here, and another one pulled there,” according to Twain. It all comes down to influencing her thinking and how she sees the world.

An Instagram from shaniatwain’s official account remarked, “Soooo maybe I got a little over excited and leaked my own Nashville announcement 🤭😂 It’s been too long… five years almost! I couldn’t keep it in any longer! I’m so honoured to be the first concert to take place at @geodispark and I can’t wait to share this experience with @kelseaballerini and @breland 🥰 I’m going out to-Nashville, I’m feelin’ alright, gonna let it all hang out!! 🎤”-

I realize that I was shy about wearing a bikini at the beach when I was younger, and I’m thinking, ‘That was ridiculous. I gotta stop this nonsense and start wearing a bikini to the beach now, even though I’m not my 20-year-old self.’ I just gotta get over that stuff.”

Twain is no stranger to embracing her body. She appeared braless in a dress in the music video for “You’re Still the One.” She also bared her midriff in Any Man of Mine.”
