Rosala and Rauw Alejandro have decided to part ways. After over three years together, PEOPLE revealed the couple’s breakup in July 2023. The couple still loves and respects one another but have opted to cancel their engagement.
Though it’s unclear how the couple met, they initially ignited dating rumors in August 2021 when they were pictured exiting a restaurant in Los Angeles together. Rosala and Alejandro made their affair public the following month, making multiple posts on social media confirming their connection. They also walked the Los 40 Music Awards red carpet in November 2021 and the Latin Grammy Awards red carpet in November 2022.
The couple announced their engagement in a music video for “Beso,” a song from their collaborative EP, in March 2023.
“Oh my God,” Rosala exclaims in Spanish as she displays a big diamond ring. She then confesses to Alejandro, “I love you.”

Rosala and Alejandro were caught holding hands as they left The Nice Guy in Los Angeles’ West Hollywood district on August 19, 2021, according to images acquired by Hola!.

Rosalía And Rauw Alejandro Confirm Relationship
Rosala and Alejandro made their romance public on social media one month after they were first sighted together. On September 24, 2021, the “Milionaria” singer posted a TikTok video of herself and Alejandro drawing a heart shape with their arms in response to a TikTok craze.
The next day, she celebrated her 29th birthday with a series of Instagram photographs. Several photos were selfies of the singer and Alejandro looking adorable together.

Rosala and Alejandro debuted as a pair on the red carpet at the Los 40 Music Awards in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Rosala wore a transparent blue gown and Alejandro wore an enormous black suit as the couple walked the red carpet together.
Later that evening, when winning his award, Alejandro kissed his girlfriend on the lips and referred to her as “his muse.”

Alejandro has been entirely complimentary about Rosala and their relationship. When asked what drew him to his girlfriend at the 2021 Latin Grammy Awards, he told Entertainment Tonight, “She’s perfect.” She’s stunning.”
“I’m really proud, man,” he said of her Rolling Stone cover. “She’s amazing. She deserves everything that happened, that is happening en su carerra. She works really hard and, you know, [I’m] really happy man.”
Rauw Alejandro Says Rosalía “inspires” his music
Alejandro spoke about his friendship with Rosala and her influence on his music in his Rolling Stone interview two months later. During his cover story interview, he stated, “Not all the songs are about her specifically. She can be my muse, but she inspires me in different ways: sounds, production-wise, not literally. People get confused. Right now, if I put out a sad song, it doesn’t have anything to do with my personal life.”
The ballad “Aquel Nap ZzZz,” he explains, was actually inspired by their love, and the singer adds, “That one is literally for her.”
He also revealed how he likes to unwind, which includes spending time with Rosala. “I try to be with my girl,” he explained. If possible, we fly on a weekend off.”

Rosalía’s 30th Birthday Celebration in New York City
Rosala was able to celebrate her 30th birthday with Alejandro. According to images obtained by the Daily Mail, the pair was caught leaving Carbone in New York City’s Greenwich Village on September 25, 2022, dressed in coordinated white and light blue costumes.
The next day, the singer uploaded an Instagram carousel picture from their night out, including photos with Alejandro and shots from their excursion to an arcade. She didn’t share a message in the caption, only using a series of emojis, “💓🎆 🍰 🧩🍭🧋🎮🍧🎰🎟.”
