Kanye West Deal to Buy Parler Terminated: The alternative social media network Parler, favored by conservatives including some far-right extremists, announced on Thursday that the rapper formerly known as Kanye West would no longer be purchasing it. He is now officially known as West.
It was a mutual choice to renege on the agreement, Parler tweeted.
In response to numerous media inquiries, Parlement Technologies would like to confirm that the company has mutually agreed with Ye to terminate the intent of sale of Parler. This decision was made in the interest of both parties in mid-November.

Parler’s parent company, Parlement Technologies, claimed in a statement that: it “has mutually agreed with Ye to terminate the intent of sale of Parler. This decision was made in the interest of both parties in mid-November. Parler will continue to pursue future opportunities for growth and the evolution of the platform for our vibrant community.”

CNN has contacted a Ye representative for comment.
According to a person familiar with the situation who spoke to CNN, Ye’s ongoing business difficulties played a role in the decision.
Due to his antisemitic remarks, Ye has recently seen several lucrative business deals fall through. Adidas, an athletic wear maker, announced in October that its collaboration with Ye was over. Other unions, like those with Gap and Balenciaga, have also ended. Ye also asserted on a right-wing podcast earlier this week that the Internal Revenue Service had frozen some of his accounts due to a $50 million unpaid tax bill.
Ye first revealed her intention to buy Parler in October.
