In her own words, the legendary drag performer shared, “I met him on the dance floor at Limelight in 1994 on his birthday, so we got married on his birthday, the anniversary of when we met, this year in January.”

In retrospect, RuPaul says that Georges is a “great guy” with no desire for fame. “Most of the time he’s on the ranch in Wyoming,” RuPaul continued. Georges manages a 60,000-acre ranch, in case you were wondering.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, RuPaul revealed that the outcome of the 2016 presidential election convinced him and his partner to take their relationship to the next level and get married.

“We thought, we don’t have to get married. But then, in light of what’s happening currently in the world today, what’s happening in Washington, we thought, you know what? Let’s do it. Let’s just do it, because there’s too much at stake with our businesses … so, that’s why we did it,” he said.

RuPaul was adamant that their regular routine would not change after marriage. “That paper don’t mean nothin’!” He made a statement to Entertainment Tonight. “If you’re devoted to a person, nothing’s gonna change that. And after 23 years, you know, hey, I know him. He knows me. I love him. He’s my favorite person on the planet I’ve met.”

He spent his early years in the “Land Down Under,” but pursuing a design education took him all over the globe. Georges has attended universities in Paris, New York, and Miami.

He also earns a living as a painter, saying of his art, “Reference from my history [and] comparing it to the present; art is about exploring life for me.”

Georges is content to live in the background while his husband succeeds in show business. He lives on a ranch in Wyoming that is reportedly more than 60,000 acres in size. The Guardian states that his grandfather, who ran a prosperous sheep and cattle operation to provide decades, left him the LeBar Ranch.

Georges and RuPaul have remained silent on rumors that oil companies might be fracking on the 60,000-acre ranch. The couple’s neighbors, however, have come forward to claim that they likely will not be consulted about any potential fracking on their property.

“Unless you own 100 percent of the fossil fuel rights under your land — and the vast majority of ranches don’t — you can’t prohibit oil and gas development. You don’t have a choice,” The Robinson Ranch is owned by Jay Butler, a fourth-generation rancher who spoke with The Guardian. “If you drive north out of Douglas, all the ranches are involved with the oil industry.”
