Larry Nassar, a former American doctor, and expert in osteopathic manipulative therapy, worked with athletes, most notably gymnasts.
Nassar, born on August 16, 1963, in Farmington Hill, Michigan, rose to prominence as the physician for Michigan State University and the squad physician for the United States Women’s National Gymnastics Officials.
However, as many women and adolescents accused Nassar of s*xually assaulting them, his public image hit significantly. In 2017, he was found guilty, including having child p*rnography and engaging in illegal s*xual activity.
During his trial, the victims, many of whom were well-known gymnasts, provided riveting testimony that shed light on the gravity of his crime and the institutional flaws that enabled it.
Nassar was sentenced to a maximum of 235 years in pr!son for his actions. The tragedy rocked the sports world and generated critical debates about athlete care and the need for sufficient governance and accountability. So in this article, you will find Larry Nassar Still Dead Or Alive.

Nassar was Sentenced to Life in Pr!son
According to CNN, he was sentenced to 40-175 years in jail for numerous s*xual abuse crimes in February 2018, to be served after a 60-year sentence for child p*rnography. That means he’ll be in pr!son for at least 100 years, effectively serving a life sentence. (In the trailer for At The Heart Of Gold, you can see the emotional moment the judge pronounced the sentence to him.)
Though much of Nassar’s abuse occurred at the Karolyi ranch and training facility in Texas (owned by the famous USA Gymnastics coaching duo Bela and Martha Karolyi), he was tried in Michigan, where he also committed abuse at John Geddert’s Twistars USA Gymnastics Club, Michigan State University, and his home in Holt, Michigan (which he shared with wife Stephanie).

Nassar Tried to Appeal His Case
The Michigan Supreme Court refused two of Nassar’s pleas to contest his molestation allegations in April 2019. Nassar has also filed other challenges involving alleged prejudice in Judge Aquilina’s remarks.
He’s serving Time in Florida
Nassar is incarcerated at the Coleman II U.S. Penitentiary, 50 miles northwest of Orlando, Florida. According to the Washington Post, he was relocated there after being physically assaulted by his previous pr!son in Tucson, Arizona, only hours after being released to the general pr!son population.
The Florida jail is known for being a safer prison for inmates likely to be attαcked in other institutions (such as informants and s*x offenders), and it contains several high-profile inmates, including legendary ex-mobster James “Whitey” Bulger.
Nassar’s attorneys have argued that Nassar’s first attαck was partially the fault of Ingham County Judge Rosemarie Aquilina, who “openly lamented that she could not impose cruel and unusual punishment upon the defendant” and “indicated her expectation that he would be harmed in prison.”
His lawyers also attempted to remove Judge Aquilina from hearing Nassar’s request for a new sentence, which she declined, saying, “This is not Burger King—he will not have it his way.”
He hasn’t Paid back His Victims
A court filing revealed that Nassar spent over $10,000 from his Federal Bureau of Pr!sons account in 2021, but just $300 went to victims. Nassar owes victims thousands of dollars but has avoided making payments since money deposited into inmates’ accounts is mainly protected from collection.
“If the Bureau of Prisons isn’t enforcing these policies with Larry Nassar—who is among the worst offenders—then who is?” Jason Wojdylo inquired. Wojdylo retired from the United States Marshals Service after years of futile efforts to persuade the Bureau to make offenders pay their debts.
FBI’s Investigation Flaws Exposed in 2021 Report
In July 2021, the Department of Justice also issued a 119-page report outlining the FBI’s initial investigation into Nassar.
The report “found that senior officials in the FBI Indianapolis Field Office failed to respond to the Lawrence Gerard Nassar allegations with the utmost seriousness and urgency that the allegations deserved and required, made numerous and fundamental errors when they did respond to them, and failed to notify state or local authorities of the allegations or take other steps to mitigate the ongoing threat posed by Nassar,” according to CNN.
