Bruce Springsteen 2023 Tour Dates: Rescheduled As He Recovers From Peptic Ulcer Disease!

Bruce Springsteen is still concerned about his health. On Wednesday, a message on the rock legend’s social media announced that his remaining 2023 tour dates with The E Street Band will be pushed back to 2024 as he recovers from peptic ulcer disease.

The news comes after the Grammy winner, 74, postponed his September tour dates and revealed he was being treated for a health ailment.

“Bruce Springsteen has continued to recover steadily from peptic ulcer disease over the past few weeks and will continue treatment through the rest of the year on doctor’s advice,” the statement said. “With this in mind, and out of an abundance of caution, all remaining 2023 tour dates for Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will be postponed until 2024.”

The Boss issued a statement as well, assuring followers that his health is improving. He said, “Thanks to all my friends and fans for your good wishes, encouragement, and support. I’m on the mend and can’t wait to see you all next year.”

The announcement also stated that new dates for all postponed shows would be revealed next week. The events will take place at the same locations, but refunds will be given upon request.

Springsteen first canceled two gigs in Philadelphia in mid-August because he had been “taken ill.” Although no further information was given at the time, it was revealed that he was recovering from peptic ulcer disease after his September appearances were canceled.

In a statement on social media at the time, the “Born in the USA” performer said he was “heartbroken to have to postpone these shows.”

“We’ll be back to pick these shows up and then some,” he continued. “Thank you for your understanding and support. We’ve been having a blast at our US shows and we’re looking forward to more great times. We’ll be back soon.”

Peptic ulcer illness is characterized by the formation of a tiny sore on the inner stomach lining and a section of the small intestine, resulting in searing stomach pain.
