Azusa Shooting: According to authorities, a teen male was shot and murdered in the Azusa neighborhood, and a second was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound.

Alejandro Padilla, 16, and his brother, 14, were shot on Tuesday in the late afternoon. After Alejandro, or “Alex,” as they called him, died, their bereaved grandmother revealed their names and images.

According to their grandmother, the Padilla boys were not affiliated with any gang. According to the neighbors, the youngsters allegedly helped her sell tamales on Saturdays. Zamarripa claimed that the two were returning from school on foot when they were approached.

“He was assaulted and questioned. And there are no ties between Alex and [his brother]. They are young, very active kids. He was devoted to education. They take no action, ” Zamarripa claimed.
